Denali Raft & KayakDenali Raft & Kayak - Full Day Excursion

Come see the beauty of Denali State Park by exploring its water ways and seeing its wildlife on this full day excursion!! Your trip begins on Byers Lake, the largest lake in Denali State Park where you will glide through its tranquil waters on single or tandem Sit-On-Top kayaks. Watch for resident trumpeter swans, loons and beavers. Paddle over pools of spawning salmon and look for the bears and eagles that come to feed on them.

Alaska fishingAfter your paddle we will enjoy a warm lunch at a the historic Mary Cary's McKinely View Lodge and then head to the river to embark on a scenic rafting float trip fully oared by your guide. Enjoy stunning vistas of Denali and the Alaska Range and beautiful canyon walls. This trip provides wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities as you make your way downstream to the quaint town of Talkeetna where your trip concludes.

Scenic floatChulitna Canyon Float
This peaceful scenic float takes you through the stunning Chulitna Canyon and ends 19 miles downstream. You will experience stunning vistas of Denali and the Alaska Range, as well as the Talkeetna Mountains. You will have opportunities to view spawning Salmon, grizzly bears, black bears, eagles, and other wildlife as your guide leads you through the history and mystique of the area. Minimum of 4 people (for smaller groups, call for availability).
Trip duration: 4-5 hours
Service Fee: $119.00 per adult

overnight trips

Wildlife viewingFLOAT, EXPERIENCE, EXPLORE
Our overnight trips range from 2 to 5 days in length. They will take you on the border of Denali National Park and into Denali State Park where you will enjoy stunning views of Denali and the Alaska Range. The rivers we float range from crystal clear class II/III white water to the glacial feed rivers that are a more classic Alaska experience. You can relax, float and enjoy spotting Salmon swim below you on their journey up river to spawn. Over your journey numerous other rivers and feeder creeks with merge and we will pass through stunning canyons and expansive valleys that all afford you with excellent opportunities to view the bears, eagles and other wildlife that frequent this territory.

Alaska fishingYou will be pampered and catered to throughout this trip, enjoying gourmet fireside meals and the best riverside camping accommodations available. We can stop along the way to view beaver ponds or for a beautiful hike up to a waterfall. These rivers offers all five species of salmon, as well as excellent rainbow and grayling fishing for those who wish to fish. A must for bear lovers and nature photographers. Overnight trips are priced for minimum of 4 persons.
