Byers Lake is the largest lake in Denali State Park. It is located at Mile 147 of the Parks Highway in the heart of Denali State Park and offers incredible kayaking, rafting, and fishing opportunities. Come see the beauty of Byers Lake as you glide
through tranquil waters on single or tandem Sit-On-Top Ocean kayaks or Old Town canoes.
Start your tour with brief and easy paddle instructions then embark for one of the most beautiful experiences in Alaska. Watch for resident trumpeter swans, loons and beavers. Paddle over pools of spawning salmon. Look for the bears and eagles that come to feed on them. Take pictures of the breath-taking views of Denali and the Alaska Mountain Range. Don't worry about your gear - we will provide you with splash gear, boots or water shoes and dry bags for cameras. This is a great trip for beginners or experienced paddlers as our boats are very stable and easy to maneuver.

Boat Rentals
For the more adventurous, explore Denali State Park's largest
lake on your own. Rental of kayak includes safety instruction and
all safety equipment. Rentals available hourly, half-day, full-day, and overnight. Call for seasonal pricing. Sorry, no reservations for hourly rates.
