
Denali Southside River Guides
is located in the heart of Denali State Park at Mile 147
of the Parks Highway in the Byers Lake Campground Day
Use Area. We offer scenic
floats, wildlife viewing, rafting,
catch and release fly fishing
trips and lake kayaking in Alaska's Denali State Park.
The State Park has many activities to enjoy in addition
to these, including scenic helicopter flights, horseback
riding, fine dining and more. A variety of lodging and
campgrounds are located within a short distance of our
office. We also offer shuttle service from Talkeetna,
Trapper Creek and all area lodging and campgrounds. |

Gear
We provide high-quality rafting, kayaking, fishing and camping
equipment for all trips. Our standard rafting day-trip gear
list includes: Coastguard-approved PFDs (lifejackets), raingear
and rain boots. For fishing, we provide breathable chest waders,
felt bottom boots, rainjackets, fly rods, polarized sun glasses
and flies. Fishing licenses are an additional cost. For over
night trips we also provide; all meals fully prepared and
served by your guide, dry bags, tents, sleeping bags, cots,
portable toilet with privacy screen, tables, chairs, screen
house (to hide from the mosquitoes) and many other comfort
items to make your trip a wonderful experience. Let us know
if you have special needs or requests and we will make every
effort to accommodate you.
Reservations & Cancellations
A 50% deposit is required on all advance reservations. Multi-day
trips require reservations at least 48 hours prior to departure.
We do not give cash refunds. Refunds will only be issued if
trip cancellation is made at least one week prior to trip
departure date. If you used a credit card for your reservation,
your refund will be less any fees we incurred for processing
the credit card refund. Trips can be rescheduled with 48-hour
notice.
Denali Southside River Guides reserves the right
to cancel any trip without prior notice due to weather and/or
river conditions. In this instance, you will be given the
option to reschedule your trip, or to receive a full refund.
Liability Release
The activities we provide have inherent risk associated with
them. Denali Southside River Guides assumes no responsibility
for customer injury, or personal or property loss, regardless
of cause. Clients assume all risk of participation by signing
our risk assumption and liability release form, and by listening
closely to the safety briefing given by your guide prior to
trip departure.
